Description
Discover the magic of Florence in a single day on our Best of Florence and Uffizi Gallery Tours, visiting all of the famous sights and skipping the long lines along the way. You'll see it all, from the perfection of Michelangelo's David at the Accademia Gallery to Botticelli's masterpieces in the Uffizi, the complex beauty of the Cathedral (Duomo) to the architectural gems hidden in the city center.

The tour begins with skip the line access to the Accademia Gallery where you will have the unique opportunity to marvel at Michelangelo's magnificent 17-foot marble masterpiece - David. No visit to the capital of the Renaissance can be complete without witnessing for yourself this astonishing work of genius and symbol of the Florentine people. The gallery is also home to innumerable works of art by other sculptors and includes the unfinished 'Slaves' by Michelangelo himself.

Following the Accademia you'll embark on a walking tour of Florence as you visit Florence Cathedral, locally known as the Duomo, the famous 'Porcellino' statue at the leather market, as well as the evocative Ponte Vecchio.

Then take a break to relax and enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choosing or a place your guide would be happy to recommend, before your afternoon skip the line tour at the Uffizi Gallery is set begins.

Once inside the Uffizi, you'll have the chance to behold the immediately recognizable works of Botticelli 'Birth of Venus' and 'Spring' in person. The Uffizi contains signature works of the Italian masters, including Michelangelo and Da Vinci. Listen as your expert English-speaking guide tells fascinating stories about the lives of the artists, celebrated architects, and wealthy patrons that contributed to this gallery of galleries.

Those taking the afternoon tour will start with the Uffizi Gallery before moving on to the Best of Florence Walking Tour and Accademia Gallery. On this itinerary, the Duomo visit will be from the exterior as the Cathedral is closed in the afternoon and evening.
