Description
You will be picked up at your hotel in Acapulco or in Diamente for a half day tour to Acapulco.

Your guide will pick you up right at the lobby or the entrance of the hotel and head to the meeting place. Once the group is complete you will take the van or bus transportation to head the first attraction premises and you will start your walking tour of the city.

Go to the Fort San Diego, a start fort that dates back to the 17th century, today known as the Acapulco Historic Museum. It contains unique and interesting professional exhibits that depict life in another era. This museum focuses on the era of the Manila Galleons, which came here yearly for 250 years.
Continue to the Roman Catholic Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, built in 1936 in a Moorish style, with its with yellow-gold tile work and white and blue walls. The statue on the left tower is of San Felipe de Jesús, Mexico’s first saint. You can admire its collections of religious statues. After this visit, enjoy a short free time at the Old town square called the Zocalo.

Next, walk along Hidalgo Street and stop at little shops dedicated to the sale of religious articles. Walking to the hill, discover along Avenida López Mateos, little family hotels, many with colourful flower designs stencilled on their walls and the 1936 monument to the Manila Galleons (‘Nao de China’ in Spanish). At La Quebrada you will have a spectacular view of the open Pacific. At the viewing platforms you can watch the cliff divers*. Enjoy one of the most famous tourist attractions in Acapulco, where professional high divers perform spectacular shows, jumping off the cliff of La Quebrada (which represents a diving of 35meters).

The group will also enjoy free time to make a shopping stop where you will enjoy beers, margaritas and sodas. On the way down, you will pass by Bajos Electronics and Teatro Domingo Soler.
